Grammarly for Education is a writing support program designed to help students refine their own original writing. Grammarly for Education offers suggested changes that may improve spelling, grammar, word choice, and style, but it does not generate written content for you. In other words, proper use of Grammarly for Education is limited to refining and improving the written presentation of the student’s own work. While other forms of Grammarly are available, only Grammarly for Education is acceptable for student use at HIU. Other Grammarly options use generative AI technology to create written content; therefore, any use of non-Grammarly for Education will be detected by the Turnitin system and will be considered AI misuse, which is a violation of HIU's policy on academic integrity. For new users: Start HERE to create a Grammarly for Education account using your HIU account (@hiu.edu). DO NOT USE your campus password. You will receive an email to confirm your Grammarly for Education registration. Your account will be active after the registration. Do not use Gmail or other non HIU email addresses for your account.
